High Temperature Switches

Sensors UK Ltd offer a family of high temperature proximity switches with an excellent proven MTBF - the MI Series. These silicon free inductive switches are frequently used where object and position detection must be carried out in areas of high temperature such as motor vehicle painting ovens or manufacturing processes, where dirt heat and an aggressive environment are present.

When temperatures escalate to 400^oC, conventional switches frequently fail or simply burn away. The MI series has been designed to survive these arduous conditions for extremely long periods of time, thus bringing major cost savings on plant maintenance.

New designs are now available offering digital switching, Ex certification and extended ranges bringing  the ability to survive even short term temperature excursions up to 400^oC. This is possible due to the use of a special carrier for the inductive coils, a new ceramic enclosure and heat resistant cables.
